Adult Fishing Trip — Assumption of Risk & Safety Agreement
I understand that participation in a guided freshwater fishing trip with Island Bass Outfitters involves inherent risks, including but not limited to:
Slips, trips, falls, and falling overboard.
Drowning, cold-water exposure, and changing weather conditions.
Injuries involving fishing hooks, lures, rods, and other equipment.
Boat movement, collisions, submerged objects, and uneven shorelines.
Injuries involving wildlife, insects, and natural hazards.
Safety Responsibilities
I agree to follow all reasonable safety instructions provided by the guide, including instructions regarding life jackets, boat operation, fishing equipment, and emergency procedures.
I understand that alcohol or drug impairment, unsafe behavior, or refusal to follow safety instructions may result in termination of my participation.
Fishing Licenses
I understand that I am responsible for possessing any fishing license required by applicable law.
Emergency Assistance
If an emergency occurs, I authorize Island Bass Outfitters to contact emergency services and share information reasonably necessary to obtain assistance.
Acknowledgment of Risk
I acknowledge that fishing and boating involve risks that cannot be completely eliminated. I voluntarily choose to participate with an understanding of those risks.
This agreement is intended to document my understanding of the activity and my agreement to follow safety instructions. It does not waive legal rights or release any party from liability where prohibited by applicable law.
By signing below, I confirm that I am at least 18 years old, have read this agreement, and understand its contents.
