The Long Island Bassmasters Father’s Day Kids Event has been hosted here for decades, introducing countless children to the joy of fishing. In August 2024, a devastating storm caused the dam at Stump Pond to collapse, draining the pond and leaving behind a muddy expanse where a vibrant lake once stood.
